Having a cheerful personality is a positive feature of a person. Your self confidence, your positive attitude will give you the cheerfulness. And if you are cheerful you can make others happy too.

Here are a few tips to cheer up the mood of a person when he/she is upset.

  1. Just go and meet the person with a gift and engage him in some lightsome conversation.
  2. Don’t ask the person about the problem from the start, if he/she wants to discuss you then just listen.
  3. If the problem is serious, and the person wants your advice then analyze the problem from the point of view and give the person a reasonable solution.
  4. Your sympathy is important but it is not the solution. He/she wants your support and your problem solving ability will help him a lot.
  5. If you think that the problem is not very serious then take him/her to a shopping, walking or to a movie to distract him/her mine from the problem.
  6. Try to explain him that the every problem has solution so sitting sadly and idly is not the solution. Help him/her to boost up again.
  7. Pray with the person or encourage him/her to participate in something spiritual that gives them hope and courage.
  8. Introduce them to others going through the same situation.
  9.  Give them books on the topic they are dealing with. Self-help, personal growth and inspirational books are good choices.
  10.  Give him/her a hope of a new cheerful and successful life, which will help him/her to stay away from the sadness for few moments.
