The Minister came down heavily on the state government in the wake of the Mangalore incidents; “There is a complete breakdown of law and order in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled state and the state government has lost control over the situation.” The daughter of a Kerala MLA and her male friend were kidnapped and beaten up allegedly by Bajrang Dal activists on Friday evening. Addressing the media, Chowdhury said, “there is a clean communal divide where a Hindu girl is prevented from talking to a Muslim boy." The Minister stated the situation as a national security problem and said the Central government will intervene if state government fail to take any action. (ANI) |
