Actually, an acedemy called Benefit Film Acedemy is now to open film schools in the small cities like Agra, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Manglore, Meerut, Vadodara and last but not the least New Delhi and Mumbai. They are even visiting these cities and calling press. In this acedemy Prof. Roshan Taneja himself will teach the selected students acting and Saroj Khan will teach dancing and Ismail Darbar music. They are also working on the infrastructure and the location of the Acedemy in the selected cities.
It seems a very big dream for the common people who want to learn acting, dancing and music from their favourite Gurus. The motive of the Acedemy is to let the common man learn different aspects of Indian cinema. According to the Chairman Lal Goel many many youngsters run away from their home just to become film star, music directors, choreographer but very few people get anything from bollywood. Ultimately, they are lost in the darkness of failure.
The idea of the Acedemy is ofcourse very good. But the main drawback of the acedemy is that the courses will be of three months only. In many shows and conferences Ismail Darbar says that he took 12 years to learn Violin.. So they are always asked that can these students learn every thing in just three months? And this makes the Gurus,Sarojji and Ismailji very angry. Saroj Khan has always been saying that "I have not learnt any dance from an y school or master. I have seen the gurus very perfectly and learnt dance all by myself". Then what is the need of these types of acedemy. Are they going to get time from their busy scheduels to teach a normal boy from small city?
Still lets hope that this is going to be a good plattform for those who really dream of bollywood and want to make their career in acting, dancing or music fields.
