The most awaited historical saga of Ashutosh Gowarikar, Jodha Akbar is now ready for release. Indeed, the movie has remained in controversies of the truth of Jodha, but its expectations are high for the public.
The film is a story of 16th century, where the love of a mughal emperor Akbar and a Rajput princess Jodha develops. Akbar was muslim whereas Jodha was hindu. So many contraversies on who was Jodha have remained hot in bollywood market. But according to Gowarikar this film is about the love story of Akbar and Jodha and nothing else. According to him, the world of Akbar revolves around making conquests and furthering his empire that is until he meets Jodha and his world changes and tries to win Jodha's love.
The character of Akbar and Jodha are played by Hritik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan respectively. The period epic that has been in the making for over two and a half years has music by A R Rahman and lyrics by Javed Akhtar
