Just think now we will be able to reach New York from
Mumbai in just 3 hours! The engineers of Research Engines, Oxfordshire,
England have prepared a prototype of an aircraft known as A-2.
This air craft can accommodate 300 passengers and will fly
at the speed of 6400 kms per hour. This speed is more than the speed of sound.
European space Agency is highly impressed with this project and this aircraft
will be operated within 25 years, depending on the "the requisite political
will".
This craft is 169 feet long and weighs 400 tonnes - lighter
than a Boeing 747. It can fly for 20,000 kms nonstop. This craft will work
with hydrogen, but the passengers would have to put up with having no windows,
due to heat producing at high speeds inside. In the place of windows they may
fit flat screen, giving the impression of looking outside.
The fares of the craft would same as the fares of other
craft so that it may get good success on commercial basis also.
